Donor support fuels our mission of ending leukemia and supporting patients and families, and your financial support goes a long way. For example:

  • $25: Pays for a 24/7 leukemia caregiver‘s meal, or half a tank of gas to get to a crucial appointment for a life-saving blood transfusion.
  • $50: Pays for a family’s hospital parking for the week, or covers the co-pay for a life-saving cancer medication.
  • $100: Helps offset the cost of a hotel room for a family member visiting their hospitalized leukemia patient far from home.
  • $500: Pays for a life-saving prescription medication for an uninsured leukemia patient.
  • $1,000: Helps pay for a furnished apartment for a transplant patient who is required to stay within 30 minutes of a treatment facility far from home for an extended period of time.
  • $2,500: Helps pay the mortgage and utilities for a family who is forced to maintain two households while a loved one prepares for induction chemotherapy or transplant far from home.
  • $5,000: Helps us fund research into hard-to-treat leukemia subtypes, so that someday all of the above won’t even be needed!

We desperately need your financial support, but there are other ways to help as well (see below).

Pennies for Jackson

The U.S. Mint may have stopped making pennies in 2025, but we’ll still take ’em! (Did you know there are over $3 billion worth of pennies in circulation?).

This is a super-easy way to raise funds and raise awareness (and a great option for schools) by simply placing a bucket or collection box (or even just a sign) in your classroom, place of business, church, office, or anywhere!

Volunteer or Create Your Own Fundraiser

Have an idea for your own fundraiser? Running a marathon or 5K? Skydiving for charity? Want to host a charity golf tournament, banquet, auction, or other function?

We’d be honored to support your fundraising efforts by creating an event page, fundraising links, QR codes, and handling all the boring stuff like receipts and tax deductions!

Host a Blood Drive

Inviting the ‘Big Red Bus’ to your workplace, school, church, or community center is a fun and very impactful way to support leukemia patients and families.

Most leukemia patients become transfusion-dependent at some point during their treatment, meaning they require regular blood and platelet transfusions to stay alive. Every unit of blood comes from a donor like you!

Register Donors

Did you know that a bone marrow transplant of often a leukemia patient’s only chance at a permanent cure?

Many patients struggle to find a matching donor, yet it couldn’t be easier to register with the National Marrow Donor Program: All it takes is a simple cheek swab (done via mail) to save someone’s life!
